Planet

Our world is truly beautiful. And even though the impact of one person may be small, it is not wasted. Which is why I would like to produce a product that doesn't merely pile on to the mountain of consumerism, but that inspires a message of sustainability.

But what does Sustainability mean?

According to the Collins Concise Dictionary,

Sustainable: (Sustain) "to maintain or prolong: to sustain a discussion / to provide for or to give support to, esp. by supplying necessities: to sustain one's family" (Hanks, 1988:1189).

Organic: "of, relating to, or derived from living plants and animals / of or relating to animal or plant constituents or products having a carbon basis" (Hanks, 1988:801).

Recycle: "to pass (a substance) through a system again for further treatment or use / to reclaim for further use: to recycle water / the repetition of a fixed sequence of events" (Hanks, 1988:967).

  1. Sustainability (According to Google)
  2. "In more general terms, sustainability is the endurance of systems and processes. The organizing principle for sustainability is sustainable development, which includes the four interconnected domains: ecology, economics, politics and culture."
  3. (Google definition 'Sustainability')

People. Planet. Profit.

I will make use of recycling primarily so as to reclaim materials for further use and so encourage sustainability.

With these thoughts in mind I play my part in making a difference.
